Emcure Pharmaceuticals faces Rs 57.74 crore in penalty orders from the Income-tax Department

Emcure Pharmaceuticals Limited has disclosed receiving penalty orders totaling Rs 57,73,96,732 from the Income-tax Department related to financial years 2014-15 through 2020-21 (assessment years 2015-16 to 2021-22), as revealed in documents submitted to the National Stock Exchange of India Limited and BSE Limited on October 2, 2026. The company is currently evaluating legal options, including filing an appeal before the Appellate Authority, in response to these orders which stem from ongoing litigations previously disclosed in governance reports up to the quarter ended June 30, 2026.
