Punjab National Bank receives Rs 4.34 crore penalty from Reserve Bank of India for non-compliance

Punjab National Bank (PNB) has disclosed that it has been imposed a monetary penalty of Rs 4,33,900 by the Reserve Bank of India on August 20, 2026, for non-compliance with operational guidelines of Currency Chests as per the RBI’s Master Directions. The bank confirmed the penalty amount reflects the financial impact related to the violation, as required under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015.
