Welspun Enterprises jumps 5.73% as subsidiary secures Rs 351.24 crore sewer rehabilitation projects

Welspun Enterprises Ltd. is up 5.73% to Rs 823.35, building on recent gains and rising 4.73% over the last week.

Welspun Enterprises Limited announced that its material subsidiary, Welspun Michigan Engineers Limited (WMEL), has secured two sewer rehabilitation projects from the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) with a combined contract value of Rs 351.24 crore, funded by the World Bank. The projects, valued at Rs 229.48 crore for Western Ahmedabad and Rs 121.76 crore for Eastern Ahmedabad, involve the rehabilitation of existing sewer lines and represent some of the largest individual projects undertaken by AMC. This order win increases WMEL’s order book from approximately Rs 2,135 crore to roughly Rs 2,432.66 crore as of June 2026, and according to Managing Director Sandeep Garg, reinforces the company’s position in the urban water and wastewater infrastructure sector. The formal Letter of Award was received on September 18, 2026.

Trading volume reached 16.75 lakh shares today, surging by 569.48% compared to the average volume of the last one week. Welspun Enterprises Ltd registered a strong increase of 47.01% year-over-year, outperforming the 8.17% loss in the NIFTY50 index.
