Bharat Dynamics Limited secures Rs 810.79 crore contract from Ministry of Defence for SAT-SAAW weapons

Bharat Dynamics Limited announced it has secured a contract from the Ministry of Defence for Rs 810.79 crore to supply Satellite Smart Anti Airfield Weapons (SAT-SAAW) and associated equipment to the Indian Air Force, under the Buy (Indian - Indigenously Designed, Developed and Manufactured) category. The SAT-SAAW, an air-to-ground precision guided glide bomb designed by DRDO with 60% indigenous content, will be delivered between 2027-2028 and 2028-2029, and the contract was signed on September 23, 2026, in the presence of Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh.
