Fitch Ratings assigned a 'BBB-' rating to Bank of Maharashtra’s USD 500 million notes maturing in 2026 and 2031

Bank of Maharashtra announced that Fitch Ratings has assigned a 'BBB-' rating to the USD 500 million notes under its MTN Programme, maturing September 4, 2026, and a final rating of 'BBB-' to the USD 500 million 6.112% senior unsecured notes due September 2031, alongside a final rating completion for the USD 500 million 6.112% senior unsecured notes due September 2031; Fitch also affirmed the Long-Term Issuer Default Rating (IDR) at 'BBB-/Stable,' mirroring India's sovereign IDR, and the Long-Term IDR and Government Support Rating at 'BBB-/Stable,' reflecting a high probability of extraordinary state support, while assigning a VR of 'bb' dated March 2, 2026, and further detailing ratings linked to the Long-Term IDR (xgs) at 'bb,' a Senior unsecured long-term rating (xgs) with a change linked to the Long-Term IDR (xgs), a new LT senior unsecured rating of 'BBB-', and a new LT (xgs) senior unsecured rating of 'BB(xgs),' all according to Bank Rating Criteria published May 9, 2026.
